Someone said something really strange, so I Googled it!

No, urine is not sterile. Despite a long-held popular belief, studies have found that healthy urine contains bacteria, which form a urinary microbiome. This microbial community differs between individuals and can increase significantly in cases of urinary tract infection (UTI).

Urine is naturally populated by bacteria, even in healthy individuals. The numbers are generally low, but studies have found a variety of bacterial species in both male and female urine.

Each person has their own unique microbiome associated with their urinary tract. Scientists are still working to understand the roles of these bacteria, some of which may be beneficial, while others could cause problems.

A UTI is diagnosed when there is a high level of disease-causing bacteria in the urine, often over 100,000 microbes per milliliter.
Implications: Because it is not sterile, urine can contain contaminants and pathogens that could infect a wound or cause health issues if ingested

So, you won't be drinking urine any time soon? But, if you think about it, what DO we ingest that is actually "sterile"?
