In my dream last night, everyone I was with just vanished...

In my dream, I was out with a group of people, walking across a town square. I stopped momentarily to look at a
monument, and then, when I looked for the other members of the group, they had vanished. Every last one of them! What to do next? Go and wait by the car we'd come in? But I couldn't remember whose car we'd come in, or where it was parked. I started to feel panicky...and then I woke up...

Definitely an interesting dream. It would make a better story premise than the last one I remember, wherein I accidentally caused trouble by putting a metal spoon through the microwave.

The concept of one's companions suddenly being gone is one I've sometimes encountered in fiction, and I find that there's always a compelling eeriness to it.

Your dream scenario kinda happened to me in real life, but it was ultimately a mundane incident.
