I dreamt I made a song and then woke up to write it irl

Like the title suggests. My brain did all work for me while I slept. I'm no Beethoven, I don't know chords so I play piano on ear. I have made more than half of the song. I just need verses and maybe another bridge or some other contrast. I'm excited! I haven't written songs since I left a band I was supposed to have with a friend. It's so nice to get the musician creativity back. ❤️‍🔥🎶

Decide on a clear song pattern, no more than one bridge and keep in mind a bridge has to go somewhere. Example: VCVVBC. Usually the bridge is close to the end. Do not mix refrains in with this.

@BackyardShaman Yeah I was thinking of a bridge close to the end. I already have one sentence. But what's the other thing called then? Not Bridge. It's like a section that contrasts from the refrain back to a refrain I think?

@Queendragonfly a refrain is usually a repeated line at the end of a verse, or close to that structure. You can have a bridge but no chorus. Think of Bob Dylan’s Blowing In The Wind for a classic refrain pattern song.

@BackyardShaman Yes I know what a refrain and a verse is. But there's another part in a song you can add. I don't remember it's name. Bridge and...

@Queendragonfly chorus, interlude, outro, tag , tag at the end ( think of James Taylor Fire and Rain). The more common thing is the Chorus.

@BackyardShaman Yes! Thanks! I think it was interlude or outro, or both. I need to look it up in my own language so I understand what I'm after. How nice to meet another musical soul 🙏
