I Have Weird Dreams
Kodiak, Ak - as get off work I walk across the parking lot at the Admin building I hop in my lil pickup truck. About 50 yards away the engines of a C130 start up.
I start up the engine and drive a few feet and it feel like I have a flat tire.
I stop and get put and sure enough...the drivers side front is flat.
"You gotta be kidding me", I yell above the hum of the C130s four turboprop engines, I grab the jack from the back seat and the spare tire sitting in the back of the truck.
As I reach inthe back of the seat to grab the lug nut wrench I hear two huge explosions behind me. I quickly turn around and the two left side engines of the C130 just exploded.
"Holy f**k" I say under my breath watching shrapnel fly all over the place. The entire tarmac is covered in dense smoke, and out from the smoke I see whats left of an engine sliding slowly directly towards me! Its sliding...not rolling or tumbling.
I'm about to sprint in the other direction....but something yanked me back off my feet..."wtf?!!"
The engine and whats left of a spinning prop is 200 feet and closing fast!
.....My jacket is caught in the door!....but the freaking door is open! Im yanking and pulling on my jacket and I hear the scraping of metal on concrete behind me!
100feet!
I'm panicking and yanking and tugging on my jacket!
50ft!!
"Holy sh&*!!!...the zipper is stuck in the door latch!
Just as I get the zipper clear I turn around and the engine slides 10 feet infront of me and slams into a car, rolls over and knocks over a fence!
I woke up after that....and I told my then wife "We're not flying for a while" ;-)
