Today I learned that

Canola oil is from the Rapeseed plant that is mass grown in Canada. The plant grows pretty yellow flowers and there are fields and fields of plants though out most of Canada. The plant is a member of the Mustard/cabbage family. CANOLA is acronym for CANadian Oil Low Acid

Interesting. In continental Europe, it is not known as Canola but, depending on the language, as Raps (German), colza (French/Italian/Spanish) just to mention a few languages. The name canola is unknown in continental Europe

@Stephie Now that is interesting I thought that Canola was now used world wide. I did learn something today 🤣
