A good rush now and then can be fun, whether or not I seek it out depends on my mood. Adrenaline rushes when already having anxiety is not a particularly wise combo unless I want to get really angry and destructive.

@UndeadPrivateer: And they wouldn't like you when you're angry, right?
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@Raythedevil: I uh... yeah. I'm not a pleasant person to be around when genuinely angry. Super snappy, prone to murder glares and breaking things and filled with murderous urges that have me wanting to, in some cases quite literally, kick people's teeth in. That's a very, very rare occurrence though. I can count on one hand the number of times it has gotten to that and all but one were at the hands of a very specific person who really knows how to push my buttons.

@UndeadPrivateer: LoL...I was just quoting from the old "Incredible Hulk" TV series, that's what Banner (David or Bruce) always warned new friends when he went to a new town. I guess I was more paraphrasing than quoting, but you get the point.

@Raythedevil: Indeed. I'm familiar. And that's a pretty decent analogy for it. My usual response to when I get like that is to just leave and go outside to calm down, possibly grab some things I'm not attached to before I leave to smash and vent some of that anger.

@UndeadPrivateer: When you start to feel angry, it's good to sit down if you're standing, and to lay down if you were sitting. Just saying.

@Madeleine: That doesn't help me, I've tried that. Meditation sometimes works. I've had a couple occasions where it didn't. When that doesn't work, the only thing that seems to get me out of it is an ability to vent my anger in some way and get a flow of positive energy from someone or something else. Most commonly has been my eldest brother, who has really bad anger issues(my anger issues are pretty much non-existent, as I mentioned this is a thing that has occurred so few times I could count it on one hand), so he tends to be really understanding of the whole thing.
