This happened about a mile away from where I live and I'm still waiting on news that people I know are okay. However, despite the personal nature of this, I don't at all condone hate or revenge or retaliation. What happened is horrific and emotive, but we need to act with intelligence, not anger or spite.
Twenty years ago, an IRA bomb exploded in my city. I was there when it happened. The IRA no longer bombs our cities. We didn't get to peace by banning the Irish or dropping bombs on them. We got there by talking and defusing the situation. Twenty years ago, terrorist groups linked with Islam didn't used to bomb our cities. Now they do. Something changed, and the change wasn't Islam.
