Nah... TV, movies, YouTube, music... so not weird, also not age appropriate. Kids all want to be older and more grown up, they have parents to prevent that!
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@TornApart: Right, it's not age appropriate, like I mentioned to someone, when I was 10 I had my party at chuck E cheese

Not at all. When I was younger I did my parties at a hotel, so did my brother. Now for my 2 I do the same. It really is a ton easier and cheaper than doing an only 2 hour party at most places. Bring the cake, some snacks, have some pizza delivered, a free breakfast the next morning, (depending on where you go) and the kids can open presents, swim, and you don't have to deal with ceaning up a huge mess. Gives you more time to play and spend with the kids.

If it's a boy, it sounds like he needs a place to stash his harem. If it's a girl, she may have a secret BF or more. But, yes, this is weird for any 10yo, or it should be. Of course, the hormones in dairy and other animal foods are causing children to hit puberty at ever younger ages--which itself should be a crime, as society doesn't even come close to adequately preparing teens for the reality that they are biological adults in most ways, let alone preteens.

@EnigmaticGeek: yep. Weird to me

Wasn't there a Disney show that took place in a hotel? I think it was the one with twin brothers. Either way, kids are impressionable. The idea could've come from anywhere

@HalfCactus: "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody"

I would hope it's because there's a pool and hotels you don't really have to clean up after the stay😂
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@AnukBinary: Yea but I'm thinking why not just goto the pool.?
AnukBinary · M
@iamnikki: hmm yeah that true. You best keep an eye on that one.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@AnukBinary: not my kid so...

BlueRaine · 51-55, F
She went to birthday parties for girls. They loved the pool and had pizza.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@BlueRane: maybe it's because the only parties I had growing up were chuck e cheese and house parties in the backyard. It just sounds "grown up" to me.
BlueRaine · 51-55, F
@iamnikki: yes it originally sounded adored to me. I never went to birthday parties plus I grew up in a different era. So I went to one of the parties, became friends with the parents and saw it for myself. Now it's nothing I would let a teenager do.
BlueRaine · 51-55, F
No. My daughter has been to three hotel birthday parties.
whateverhappens · 26-30, F
hahaa, say nope.
