Have you been told to be just yourself?

My personality offline is very far composed and that's how I became because I have hurt so many people before for being real to even think there could be no compromise...and what I made them feel went back on me. It was my lesson and I became very careful.

In today's society everyone is encouraged to be themselves, yet at the same time, they're expected to behave like everybody else. But I quit caring about social standards a long time ago and just truly be myself, which is usually too real for people as well. I'm often vilified for it but I think it's simply because I remind people too much of themselves and their true nature, human nature. Individuality may come at a price but at least I'm the one of the few who are real.
