Try steaming, with a couple of drops of Eucalyptus oil.

@Dewmsberry: Gargle your throat with some salty water and do that steam with Eucalyptus oil. Also just keep a cloth with Eucalpytus oil drops on it to sniff and help you breathe.
And take care of yourself young lady!
