If no one else was bundled up it probably did look out-of-the-norm to them, which is what they are supposed to be watching for. Keep in mind there are people that hide stolen goods under bulky clothing..if wearing bulky clothing when no one else is them it will attract attention. So long as they did nothing but verify your identity and ask a couple questions....

I once pulled into my driveway of the home I was living in and police pulled up behind me and got out their vehicle to come talk to me. They were aggressive at first but calmed down after my ID and insurance/registration checked out. I'd never been jacked by them at that residence before and couldn't figure out why they did this time. I guess they were just bored.
