Weird social norms. What is weird and what isn't?

I accidentally had a bit too much social energy, and in that moment, I msged one of my friends friend (who isn't my friend btw) if they wanted to arrange a small surprise party for her with me since we were all going through something similar and I wanted to make sure her memories of it are happy and not bleak. This person agreed.

But now I'm thinking what if it's a weird crossover? I'm cringing at myself and second guessing myself. It's too weird. But 1 person throwing her a party is weird too. I also wanted this to be part of the suprise btw. That two people who really don't know each other somehow came together to plan this for her. Hehe. It would be funny and unexpected. I also have a few gifts to give to my friend anyway so that would be the perfect chance.

But again I'm second guessing myself because this person AIN'T MY FRIEND and what if it accidentally causes some drama ?

Ugh.

It's the thought that counts. Go with your gut.

Don't over think it, just work together to give your friend a nice surprise. Separate all the jobs out so you each have your own part to take care of and that would minimise any potential for drama.
I think you're overthinking it. It doesn't sound like a big deal to me.
