Experienced a little bit of homophobia

Once man I tried to befriend assumed I was coming onto him ( when I was not) and when he found I was intersex. One he confused me with transgender and two his homophobic colors came out. He called me a faggot and other names and threatened to beat and stab me if he knew where I lived. Jesus. Also in school as a youth I often overheard phrases like that’s so gay . I was not out in middle and high school. But I casually heard the words dyke and homo tossed around. When I was in middle school I was in a Catholic school and my friends from school who were two girls dating were getting harassed by some of the other students. The principal and teachers had to step in to put an end to it. I grew up with some of the other youth showing how casually homophobic they really were. I told them how ignorant and immature they were without outing myself. I was jealous of the others who had the strength to be themselves. I was very innocent as I grew up sheltered so I didn’t know what pansexual was. It wasn’t until college that I knew what it was. I have also ended friendships with a couple of “friends” one because they came onto me and two they were homophobic like they would disown their family or friends if they found out they were lgbtqia
+ that made me so angry. And one of them said oh what a great idea pretend to feel like a woman and put on lipstick and ask for advice on how to pick up women. And another said it’s nasty and ungodly though he fornicated outside of marriage. They were also both playboys. Ashok bora and his friend Amit admitted to sleeping around with different women when single and bachelors. ( from India) Amit best friend was gay though and he said learned a lot since coming to America. Osman akenhora was already the father of three children two were twins by age 28. He said after he came back from Ghana that he learned everyone was just a person and he changed his mind about disowning family and friends who were lgbtqia+. I stopped being friends with both of them for good reasons. Can you imagine throwing your kid out of your home because you don’t want people asking why your son is gay? Even if you give them money to afford another place. Of course they were from countries where being lgbtqia was illegal and demonized. Not all people from those countries think like that thank god. My ex boyfriend was from India as well and said he would love his child no matter what gay or not. And my ex boyfriend knew I was an intersex woman and still treated me like the girl I felt I was. And he was a straight man as a penis would be sexually repulsive to him and male sex traits turned him off. Since I have the body and hormone levels of a female he was fine about my intersex condition. My past friend Hari Saranch also said would he want his kid to turn out gay no not really but what could he do about it if that was the case. I have met people from more anti-lgbt countries with diverse thinking. I am not even saying you have to agree with being lgbtqia+ if you think it’s not right but that doesn’t give you the right to disrespect or mistreat anyone and conversion therapy is not acceptable. I have met people who think being lgbtqia is something you are willing to be but tolerate and accept it. I have met all kinds of attitudes. But it seems to me being brown or black and lgbtqia is harder than being white and lgbtqia it seems.
