how should you respond to people who you think are being unhelpful and disapproving
also being 'short' and ' to to the point ' on everything you're inquiring about?
recently i had to phone a government department phone number, won't say which, to sort something out that cropped up....the girl receptionist i initially spoke to regarding my inquiry, she was how i described above....she had a disapproving tone towards me in the way she was responding, she was also unhelpful, and abrupt on everything i was asking, she wouldn't explain or elaborate....just eager to get me off the phone it sounded like.
so i phoned another number to get through to another department in the government, but i got through to the same department office again, but this time a man answered, who had the same attitude with me as the girl did previously......i put to him what i was after, my inquiry....but he was dismissive and reminded me that i'd previously spoke to his colleague and reminded me of the information she gave me, which i thought unhelpful....he told me he agreed with her stance and was basically backing her up?...for some strange reason, he was stuttering a little whilst telling me all this.....he struck as a bit of a spineless coward and i took an instant dislike to him, like i did to the previous girl who had the funny attitude with me......so i just told him ' ok fine, i'll try another number ' rather than get into a discussion with him, and hung up.
so basically, how should you respond to that attitude from people when faced with it?
