how do you deal with 'noise' in general
i live in a low rise block of apartments, lived here 20 years now by myself, i also cope with severe anxiety related to ptsd, my only support, my elderly mother lives far away, she phones me 4x a day to check in on me.............anyway, this block of apartments has luckily been a very quiet place for a long time now.....years and years......in the past though, i have found any noise really from outside, and noise in general in the block of apartments really puts me ' on edge'......i can't handle noise really, as it really affects my anxiety.
maybe just shouting from outside, loud cars, loud music, i find it all unsettling and at the moment there's an empty apartment or flat on the other side of my bedroom wall, i can hear the council workmen preparing the flat for somebody else to move in soon......and i'm starting to feel anxious over it worrying ' what if they move in a neighbour who's noisy next door? ' or a neighbour who's problematic? - when it has been nice and quiet here for so long?
fortunately i've got good landlords who are on top on loud neighbours and antisocial behaviour too, they take quick action on that.....but it's still not taking away my anxiety and fear about it....about who will move in next, and if they will be loud or play loud music???
