The Bible says we are to be on guard daily against negative spiritual influences..

"He shall keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee." Isaiah 26:3

This verse tells us that it takes our cooperation and participation in keeping our hearts and minds in Christ, if we want that perfect peace that passes all understanding. That is achieved by deliberately choosing what we allow and give permission to come into our minds, because that devil is always wanting to make us depressed or anxious or think on negative things, however, we are to train our minds in that moment, to switch our focus to keep our minds on Christ and keep it stayed on Him, as the verse says, and that is what will produce perfect peace in our hearts and minds, as the Holy Spirit speaks to us and fills our heart with that peace that only He can give. A peace that passes all understanding. That is the key. And this takes daily practice.

It does work, because I use that method and "Greater is He that is in me, than he (Satan) that is in the world." I know you can do this, too. It might take practice, but you can do it. We can't keep our minds on the negative and positive at the same time, so it's just a given that it's best to think healthy thoughts, over negative thoughts.

We tend to act as our thoughts lead us, so we must be conscious and cautious about what we think about, and whom we let in.
