if i encounter someone online who doesn't believe what i say, how should i respond

the other day on youtube i was messaging with someone on an historic britain video, and he asked me my ethnic origins and race, and i told him i was white british, but he never responded to that and didn't acknowledge it? and i felt quite annoyed, because i thought he didn't believe me.

all in all, how should you respond to that exact situation?

You're assuming that he doesn't believe you, but that may not be the case.
