what do you do when your life's pretty empty now

i now live alone, lived alone 20 years...i sadly lost touch with the friends of my childhood...and my only support network are my elderly mum and dad, but they live far away...so i'm left to get on with my life on my own.....nobody calls me, except for my my mother everyday and my father once in a while, nobody visits me now...so i feel left to it now, like no one cares...my days can be long, empty and boring.

what i always wanted was a partner, a girlfriend....but because of all the problems i've had in life, that never happened and i'm in my late 40s now.

to me it's like society now doesn't care, society has changed, for the worse...and if you live alone, society just leaves you to it, which can make you feel very lonely.

That really big, blue social site has social groups specifically for meeting others. They host group events and you can even meet singles.
I might suggest sharing some of your time on that other site. Unless playing the sympathy card for attention is your 'thing'?
Hey I get it. It’s hard but you need to find people you like whether it’s old friends or new and commit to initiating relationships with get together and invites. Ask same person 4-5x in a month to do something , risk and be vulnerable until they decide to reciprocate and boom! New social life! Hang in there on your side
What is keeping you from getting out and meeting people in real life?
