how do you deal with someone who has a 'wrong perception' of you

like i've had a few times in my life where i encountered someone who had a perception of me that just wasn't true, not based in fact, and i felt instantly angry at the time, in disbelief that they held that perception?

but in reality how should you deal with a situation like that where someone holds a perception of you which is not true?

Ignoring it works for me. I think trying to change someone's mind, other than by just letting them see me living my life and letting them change on their own if they choose to, is a bit pointless.

Me personally? I’m not clearing up anything. Think what you want. Me not being in anyone’s life because of their wrongful judgement is ultimately THEIR loss not mine
