Would u have ended a friendship over this?

Ange is living with a rich guy who supports her. She is 45 and not working. Call me intolerant, but I don’t like that type of female. I like them strong and independent. She apparently sensed that and lied about it…and when I confronted this new friend, saying she lives in an expensive neighborhood, she said she told the truth. End of story.

End it? Definitely not. It sounds like her “ lie” was one of avoidance because she liked you and enjoyed your friendship.

Her taking advantage of her femininity isn’t a crime. It’s just how society works. That doesn’t mean she’s not lonely or have issues of her own to deal with.

That said, as a man it’d be a red flag. When I was divorced I stayed far away from women that represented themselves, often unintentionally, as arm candy. Been there. Done that. Have a career.
