what would you do if you were invalid and had no one around to help you
and is anyone frightened of this? also, imagine you needed to get to hospital appointments and there was no one around to take you?

If you were invalid, you would probably be able to get a carer in to help. Depending on what your condition was. Also your GP or the person who referred you to hospital could provide free transport to and from hospital, especially if you need additional medical support for the journey or find it difficult to walk.
