is there anything i can do about my neighbours daytime noise

it usually goes as silent as the grave here at night....but my neighbour who moved in below me around 7 months ago, i think she's mentally ill....i hear her clap her hands below me, and laugh to herself in a delierious manner.....but what really bothers me she regularly blasts the radio in the morning when i am in bed...and i can hear it in my flat because the walls are thin.....she goes quiet at night but but is really loud in the morning up to late afternoon.....i live in a 3rd floor flat, she lives on the second floor below me.

i am a good tenant and lived here 20 years, she has only been here 7 / 8 months.

is there anything i can do about her day time/ morning noise or do i just have to put up with it?

I would talk to the landlord.
When I moved in here, I had a family living above me with kids that made so much noise, they actually woke me up a few times, thinking someone was in my apartment. I live alone so it really scared me.. Other times, they would literally rattle the pictures on my walls.
Anyway, I found out that the oldest child had issues so I tried really hard to ignore it. I was so glad when they moved out!

@darkmere1983 Thank you for BC! 🤗

I think I would start with the assumption that it’s not personal. Too many people don’t even know that noise doesn’t stop at their door. WE feel like it is personal.

Speak to the owner/manager. Be willing to accept a reasonable compromise. Maybe your neighbor has hearing loss. Maybe they just don’t care.

Bottom line, if you think there’s a possibility this person is mentally disturbed, be careful how you approach it.

You could try talking to her (mentally ill or not) to at least gauge where the situation is at.

I have a neighbor who I know is mentally ill and paces quite a bit through the day. I just got used to it.
I would find another place to live to avoid the stress and possible complications or conflict.

@LilMissAnonyMOUSE i wish i could, but i'm settled here now, moving would be a nightmare.
@darkmere1983 I understand.I do hope you'll be able to resolve the issue without any problems. Good luck🍀😊
Use noise cancellation earbuds,if you want to avoid conflict
