Why would my male friend tell me to stop friendzoning men because I'm not that attractive and then block me?

...sounds as though either

a) he wanted to be your guy and said hurtful things on the way out, or

b) he was never really your friend, or

c) he realized that he was never going to talk you out of a pair of those jeans to add to his shrine to you...

I'm going with "c", of course... 🤣😉
