I think that people who aren't kind or at least aren't in the outside, have had to make themselves tough to deal with things. If they are kind they are being vulnerable and could get taken advantage of.

Yeah they can but that takes experience and experience can be very unkind

I've had people take advantage of my kindness but I still try to be kind. It just depends on the person I think.
