Most anti-mask laws aim to prevent people engaged in unlawful or violent behavior, like KKK intimidations in the 20th century or the Occupy Movement in the 21st, from disguising their identity. We need such laws to prevent those like the pro-Hamas students at elite schools from intimidating and harassing Jewish students while hiding their identities. Or to prevent violent anarchists like those rioting and burning government buildings and attacking businesses in Portland and elsewhere who burned down businesses and attacked police in the "mostly peaceful" BLM riots of 2020-2022.

@Roundandroundwego I was not supporting anti-mask or pro-mask laws, just pointing out that anti-mask laws are common in many jurisdictions and about preventing crime and disorder rather than disease.
