If contrails are actually chemtrails and the whole world is being sprayed with toxic chemicals

Why would the people flying the planes do this to themselves and their loved ones?

The mother of the girl who occasionally babysits for me posted a picture on FB of contrails the other day and said "we have been sprayed hard, stay inside". So I'm kind of just flabbergasted and need explanations right now. Her and that whole circle of people who I know are very into conspiracy theories, but also organic farming and homeopathy which is why I known them lol.
