having no support network apart from your elderly parents, is this a desperate situation

this is me really, i live alone in a flat, lived alone 17 years now and my only support system is my elderly parents and they live far from me...i've had mental issues my whole adult life and never established any relationships and i'm now nearly 45, so middle aged nearly....will i end up alone once my parents are no longer around?

what do you think?

It is up to you if you will end up alone or not. If you really dont want to end up alone try establishing connection(s) with another person/people. Join a support group, or group of some kind.
