Let's say you and two other people decided to journey into a cursed forest in search of gold. You guys packed enough food to last for three months. ( Enough food to travel into the Forest than back to civilization) unfortunately, two weeks into the trip you guys get attacked by a creature and your food falls into a dangerous location in the forest. It's said that if a human goes into this spot they will lose their intelligence and some memories. In extreme cases people lost all their memories and started acting like babies.
