What would you do in this situation?

A dispatch assistant at cold meats manufacturer Consorcio Industrial de Alimentos was supposed to be paid about 500,000 Chilean pesos, or $545 American Dollars for the month of May.

But instead, due to a payroll error, he received a paycheck of 165,398,851 Chilean pesos, or $180,418 American Dollars, for the month of May.

At first the employee told his manager and agreed to pay the money back, then he disappeared and resigned from the job via his lawyers.

Eh. I once took a company deposit to the bank that we roughly $200k mostly in cash, and that was in 1990. Stealing it never crossed my mind.

I would give the money back, as I think it would be theft or something. I wouldn't want to go on the run over less than 200k

@deadgerbil Yeah, but that's $200,000 in America Money...

It's over 164,000,000 in Chilean pesos... which I assume would be a game changer in those countries.
