Have any of you ever had worst money problems using leasing and loans

I used standby cash from huntington bank and realized that i wasnt saving as much money as I usually would, and the same happens when i use leasing programs like progressive leasing. Is there some kind lol of psychology behind using loans and leasing programs that cause people money problems?
