Why did he put the door cam in the freezer?

I asked why he took it down. He said it was weird having a camera on him and his friends. I told him its her house she can be as weird as she wants. When I came back into the house I saw he had put the door cam on the kitchen counter. I picked it up and it was ice cold and frosted. I asked him why it was in the freezer? He just shrugged like he was irritated with me.
