Do you ever spell words instead of saying them when you're around small children?

Doomflower · 36-40, M
No but I do it around my dog.

Unfortunately she learned to spell certain words based on how it sounds when I spell them and figures out when I am talking about her so if I don't want her over excited I have to spell different words...but she's catching on to the spelling trick too. She kinda knows I am keeping something from her when I do that. Clever girl.
@Doomflower That's me with all my dogs. Life becomes a series of dogs, they're all characters and give so much back. I wish they could live forever..

@Majorlatency I've never known dog love like this and it seems inconceivable I would ever feel so strongly for another doggo.
@Doomflower I get that, live for the moment and enjoy. I hope she's around for a very long time..

Around both children and dogs. You don't want to get the dogs excited about "out" or "chicken" when it's not quite time yet.

No, it's never too early to learn what fuck means.

Nah, I usually just keep a really tight check on what I'm saying. 🤔
