Do you get your water heater serviced & flushed every year?

It helps maintain your unit since it helps flush out any sediments & build-up.

well no but apparently i need to

@DeluxedEdition It’s not mandatory, but it’s like maintaining your car to ensure it lasts longer. It’s the same with getting your AC & furnace serviced annually as well. The cost can add up, but they need to be functioning properly & checked for any issues.

@marsbar i think we pay 150.00 per year and that services the hvac water heater and water softener

@MarineBob That’s a steal! The average in my area just to flush out my tankless water heater is $250-$300.

@marsbar we use the company that sold and installed it

@MarineBob My tankless was installed by the previous owners, so no idea. Once I have to replace this, it’ll be easier.

@MarineBob @marsbar how exactly do you use the water softener? i saw a big bag the other day at the hardware store when i was out
marsbar · F
@Justenjoyit Nope, but that’s the average from my research.

@DeluxedEdition put salt in the big brown tank
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@MarineBob salt being the huge bag i saw?

@DeluxedEdition No idea. I know you can get reverse osmosis installed for your home, which softens the water. But that costs a lot of money, and some people don’t like the taste of the water.
