Would you prefer someone to tell you something is wrong with your appearance so you can fix it or not say anything?

For example say your fly is open or your mascara got smeared above your eyes.

Yes it would be helpful. I knew someone 30 years ago who told me people were staring at her for a couple of hours & she had no clue why till one woman told her that she had blood on her white shorts, she had been traipsing all over the university...yikes.
