Do you know what ever happened to your school bullies?

The girl who bullied me in high school got pregnant and disappeared at the beginning of senior year. Last I heard, she was a single mom working a crappy job to support her kid.

The question is, why did she bully? It's normally a coping mechanism. Kids aren't born mean. It's learned.
@SW-User I think she may have been jealous of the fact that I came from a somewhat stable household, unlike many kids where I grew up sadly.

@latinbutterfly There ya go. Now her kid will have that too, unless her mum is doing the best she can so she doesn't.

@SW-User It's not necessary for it to be a coping mechanism. Like parent, like child. All of my bullies came from stable households, they were just super entitled and not used to anyone else leading, so they'd bully anyone they'd find a threat. People bully for different reasons. My bullies were just plain sociopaths.

@SW-User @assemblingaknob From Psychology Today:
Research finds that bullies have a distinct psychological makeup. They lack prosocial behavior, are untroubled by anxiety, and do not understand others' feelings. They exhibit a distinctive cognitive feature, a kind of paranoia: They misread the intentions of others, often imputing hostility in neutral situations. Others may not like them, but they typically see themselves quite positively. Those who chronically bully tend to have strained relationships with parents and peers.
@BlueVeins Maybe. My bullies are happily married. They're very diplomatic where they have to be. They're not normal. They're sociopaths and get along very well with their friends and familiEs.

@assemblingaknob idk are you sure they're still cray-cray? like are they still shitty to others outside of their group?
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@BlueVeins yes. That's how they stay on top of the hierarchy.
