Can I vent?

You all have the right to ignore this. This is me letting things go, this is what this website is for right? ANYWAYS. SO like I have said before, I cleared up things with the guy that "likes" me telling him we should stay as friends, all was good. Later he told me that he has actually been thinking about going back with his ex. Okay back up back up. When he told me he liked me, he had just broken up with a girl that have been together for 5 YEARS. So I knew something was not right and that is why I didn't trust him nor have I accepted him liking me. Going back, it has been a while that he has been "hiding his phone" from me which I just usually grab and take pics not ready and be nosy af. So now I know why. And I just feel like a decoy. I was just there to let his emotions out, someone he can flirt with or have connections with that he believed he would get. No it is not jealousy. I felt used but I expected it at the same time. I honestly feel like getting him back. What should I do? Or should I just calm things down and forget? I don't know if anyone has been in this situation but I feel horrible.
