Do you remember the first time you danced with someone of the opposite gender?

🤔 I was in elementary school and danced with a dude for the first time. It was gym (yeah they thought dance was important to know) I even remember his name.... Now if I could remember what I ate yesterday for dinner... 🤣

@Grateful4you Hola Mi hermano grande! Te amo!🤗
@SW-User Both my Spanish and Italian are horrible should have applied myself more in school I love the romance languages.
SW-User
@Grateful4you I never took foreign languages in school. I was in choir and band for electives lol.
@SW-User My electives were play production and art. I had the lead in "Meet Me in St. Louis" my intro. into theatre work.
SW-User
@Grateful4you Niice! Plays were extracurricular activities. I was in Oliver Twist and Annie Get Your Gun.
@SW-User No kidding? How ironic since I played Fagin in the musical "Oliver" also stole the show in "Calamity Jane" a show similar to Annie Get Your Gun.
SW-User
@Grateful4you Yes. I was Mrs. Sowerberry in Oliver Twist lol.
I was Dolly Tate in Annie Get Your Gun.
@SW-User If I'm not mistaken, those are both character roles which I also ended up with since I couldn't sing well enough for the romantic leads.
SW-User
@Grateful4you I didn't want the romantic leads, omgosh. I was much more confident doing choreography lol!
@SW-User At first I wanted the romantic leads but found out the audiences LOVE the character roles. Choreography is a wonderfully creative art. I loved dancing too.
SW-User
@Grateful4you Dancing is so freeing..music and dance are my favorite forms of art.
@SW-User You can actually get into an altered state if you dance long and hard enough. A healthy euphoria for sure.
SW-User
@Grateful4you Yesssss! It releases endorphins. My favorite euphoria!🥰
@SW-User Exactly. Too bad my lung collapsed a decade ago, really compromised my endurance on the floor.
SW-User
@Grateful4you I'm so grateful you're still alive. If my knees weren't shot, I'd still run..
SW-User
@SW-User I used to do that too when I was little 😆
SW-User
@SW-User My grandparents were wonderful ballroom dancers. They used to win competitions. I miss them every day.
@SW-User Thank you! I keep my gratitude for being alive on a daily basis. I take NOTHING for granted.
