Stuff that really works on fleas?

Have suresto collars on the way but ugh they like all of a sudden are all over HELP

I've always used Advantage. It's a drop that you place on the back of the neck. I placed it once a month and never had a problem with fleas on my cat that spends alot of time outdoors. They also make it for dogs.
