What would you think about your government banning the sale of alcohol and cigarettes during lockdown ?

My government here in South Africa has done this during our 3 week lockdown which started last Thurday.
I think a lot of addicts are going to be quite furious.
The government's reasons are as follows :
- Drinking and smoking weakens your immune system.
- It's also an attempt at reducing domestic violence caused by cabin fever.
- Being drunk reduces people's ability to be socially distant.
- The use of liquor “reduces a person’s ability to exercise the social distancing and personal hygiene required” to limit the spread of the virus from person to person.

I foresee many people breaking the law in order to get their fix. What do you think ?

The government should NOT be playing nanny.

@curiosi It does seem a bit heavy handed doesn't it ? Another reason I forgot to mention above is that the public health system cannot cope during normal times. So if too many people become infected then it might just collapse totally.
However, I'm not sure it's a good thing to stress people out by banning their addictions.
It's almost impossible to stop the virus spreading though when millions of people live in shacks built close together in densely populated townships.
It is going to spread whether or not people are drinking or smoking.
I'm no expert though. I just hope that Africans have some kind of immunity to Covid19 or...well I don't know what will happen. We'll see...
