Where's U.S. news coverage on Canada's First Nations?

My friend from Canada wqrote concerning the first nations protests on-going in Canada. I didn't see anything on the news feeds. I mean, I live in Canada and I don't see much on the news other than via rail had to cancel some trains from Toronto to Montreal because of some protests on the train tracks.
