Does visiting a town where no one's ever in a rush relax you?

Lived in Tennessee for over 4 years, after living in the Baltimore area my whole life. It's an adjustment, but once you get used to it everything feels so much nicer and you even start to feel better. Some people thrive on the rush of city life, but I can live without it.
