Is a single woman or man useless to society? Are couples the only people worth respecting?

suchaslife · F
No but "I believe we are conditioned that part of life, aside from being born and death, is you just get married or partner up with somebody." In my previous relationship, i dropped everything that made me happy and made life all about my boyfriend.
I lost all self-direction and motivation, and when the relationship was over I had to shake myself to look at what I had become "a shell of my former vibrant self," I love the freedom of single life unapologeticly and no approval needed.
But I'm not anti-relationship, just anti being treated anything less than I deserve :)
A couple is nothing more than two singles who have agreed for their own reasons to be a cohesive unit, however they frame that. It doesn’t decrease or increase their value individually.

In some ways, singles may be more valuable because the considerations of a partner or a family don’t hinder them. On the other hand, each of the people in a couple may feel stronger and safer because there is backup.

It’s a tossup.

W-w-whats that now
I dont want to be useful to society anyway

Somewhat unfortunately (in my case anyway) Single men and women contribute to their workplaces more easily because they often don’t have to answer to kids or spouses. So yes they are valuable.

That's crazy . No . Lots of single people wouldn't bring children into a world so screwed up even if they were part of a couple.
SW-User
No of course not
NestChicken · 31-35, M
@SW-User but did they have a heart or understand love? No
SW-User
@NestChicken you don't know that there are a lot of people who are single for different reasons. It doesn't mean they don't understand love or don't have a heart
NestChicken · 31-35, M
@SW-User but it’s true, society doesn’t value singles as much as couples, much rather let a single man or woman drown on a ship, than parent and child.
A single person can be as useful as anyone ..
NestChicken · 31-35, M
@SStarfish single means unacceptable, no love inside them, don’t understand family, not contributing children to society
@NestChicken no it doesnt.. It just means they are single.. Nothing more
NestChicken · 31-35, M
@SStarfish nah, being single must mean undercut issues
curiousaboy · 26-30, M
Nicola telsa was a single man.
NestChicken · 31-35, M
@curiousaboy he didn’t contribute anything to society. Where’s the proof?
curiousaboy · 26-30, M
@NestChicken He invented A.C current.. we all are using it in the present too.
do you know that he invented a system to distrubute electricity for free, i think via signals. but back then main companies, business men didn't allowed him to do that, unfortunately that method is still a secreat.

If you find in google, you can find an article about nicola telsa interview, i don't rember the year now, i'd like suggest you, read it.

Can´t imagine why.
Not in the 21st century, where we realize people are autonomous individuals.

@DDonde please explain
DDonde · 31-35, M
@NestChicken Why would they be?
NestChicken · 31-35, M
@DDonde cause there’s no proof they understand love, and they don’t contribute children to society
NestChicken · 31-35, M
@Human1000 please explain
