So I hear that Donald Trump won't release his tax returns?

What's up with that?

Trump is no longer a private citizen. He absolutely should show his returns.
His refusal to do so is out of fear. He doesnt want the public to know his worth and he doesnt want congress to delve deeper into his financial misdeeds. It makes a difference where a president gets his money. Even the appearance of financial entanglement with foriegn adversaries is suspect.

@Carla So you want all the tax returns of all politicians since the beginning of the nation?

Congress has the power to request returns and recieve them. The republican led congress could have requested any return they had reason to see. They didnt.
And the one man leader has far more power than the many in congress and senate.
People with that kind of power should be accountable to the people they lead.

@Carla No it doesn't. If tried it would be tossed out in the courts. Congress is oversight not investigation.
