What was she/he doing in there?

I rent one room in a rooming house. I share the bathroom with 2 guys, one older (50s), one younger (late 20s). The older guy is gay, the younger one is heterosexual. When this happened, the younger one had a girlfriend staying overnight with him. I don't know if she did this or one of the guys.

A couple of days ago, I really needed the bathroom; I accidentally took a large dose of a laxative. I'm an old lady and I do stuff like this at times.

Someone stayed in the bathroom for AN HOUR AND A HALF.

It was a very long wait. There is another bathroom upstairs, but the guy who rents a room upstairs is very grouchy (especially to me) if anyone from downstairs goes upstairs for any reason so I try to avoid it if I can.

Here's what I can't figure out:

Our bathroom is really, really TINY. It is so small you need to walk sideways in it. It's about 5 by 3 feet. So...WHAT COULD A PERSON DO IN THE BATHROOM FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF??!!!

The hot water in the shower runs out in about 5 minutes. You can't fall asleep in there because there is nowhere to lie down. If you fell asleep on the toilet, you'd hit your head on either wall or the shower door.

What was he/she doing in there?

Reason is immaterial. The bath is for everyone's use, and no one can hog it. Get the property owner/landlord to post rules.

@MikeSp Rules are posted, and generally this doesn't happen here. That is why I think it must have been the girlfriend.

@greenmountaingal I would remind the BF that the rules apply to all guests, and request that he speak to her. Given their limited life experience, they probably have no clue that their actions can affect someone not like them. Tell him that you almost had an accident, and that you need to avoid being put in that position again. Unless someone tells them, they are not going to learn.
