Do some people really get offended nowadays when someone tells them, "Merry Christmas"?

I can understand if a person doesn't actually celebrate it, but why get offended?

because they have coal for hearts and snow being white offends them as it reminds them of the guilt they feel for being oppressive by existing and jesus is a culturally appropriative and is a micro aggression?.

Or maybe baubles are symbols of oppression and capitalist wealth and only hang above the ground to symbolise their patriarchical hierararchy dominance over women because they also look like balls.
