Do some people really get offended nowadays when someone tells them, "Merry Christmas"?

I can understand if a person doesn't actually celebrate it, but why get offended?

We live in a time of the perpetualy offended. I think 95 percent of it is faux offense, they are not really offended but by pretending to be it gives then some kind of attention. That is my 2 cents worth. (No offence to those who don't use cents)

@FreeSpirit1 you nailed it sister* ( and n offense to any "nailers" out there), oh and uhhh

* the use of sister is not meant in any way to mean a blood related retaliative, religious term, 70s black power name, gender identification, or any negative label, was meant to be a term of solidarity, familiarity, an agreement of opinion.

Please submit any opinions in writing to my toilet bowl, USA (plumbers - excluded from toilet bowl reference)
