What possible reasons might exist to explain why I havent gotten any mail?

For a week now nothing has come in our mail. No ads, no bills, no letters, no statements, no offers, and no coupons. We always get something except every rare now and then nothing comes but for almost a week nothing? Guess I'll go to the post office to see if I can figure out. I tried calling the post office today and I won't try that again.
