Anyone else in California as ticked off as I am over marijuana legalization?

Since legalization of marijuana in California...it's become nearly impossible to find it within 20 miles of my home. All the dispensaries in this area have been raided and closed down. As a result, even if you are willing to drive 20 miles, it is now more expensive. Unavailable...or far away and expensive.

I'm old, arthritic, and, as a medical marijuana patient, I was able to avoid taking a lot of ibuprofen and other pain meds. Now I am wondering how far I am willing to drive for it. I'm thinking about it. I just took a couple of Tylenol....

I'm not sure they were raided. They're shutting down until their permits are approved and the statewide system is up and running.
As a suggestion in terms of cost, you might want to look towards the dispensaries that have maintained their medical license and aren't selling for recreation. That's what mine did and the prices didn't budge. And unless I'm mistaken, I think dispensaries selling for recreation are supposed to have a different price point when it's medicinal

@Ynotisay would they take an out of state prescription?

@Crazywaterspring I don't believe so. Only a few states do. California will sell to anyone over 21.

@Ynotisay There are places like that, but they're a long drive away. I live out in the desert. I've settled for having it delivered; a slightly more expensive option. Next month I'm going to make a long drive and stock up for a couple of months.

@Crazywaterspring I went on the Internet and got a prescription that is good in all states that have medical marijuana laws.
