Has anyone felt so dumb and stupid?

I am told that I'm slow to analyze, that I'm not observant, I'm slow to get instructions and just slow and stupid... I often tend to screw things up. Some peeps in school have pointed out these faults in me too and I'm worried how I am going to carry on in my life with these things. I feel like an utter failure.

Don’t let anyone define you.

Some very intelligent people lack some skills that others take for granted. Find your strengths and build them up, and also find ways to compensate or supplement the weaknesses you find with friends or tools.

It could really just be that your friends are riding you hard and you feel anxiety when doing such things.

You’re not a failure, and you’re not what other people say you are.

If you have flaws or faults, you can fix them, but you also have strengths that you’ll never see if you focus on what others perceive as weaknesses.
Tom Cruise is Dyslexic. Look at the millions he makes and he struggles to read. He’s worked through it....found a way to beat it and live with it.

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 Sadly I don't have any kind of learning disability. maybe I'm normal? But I just can't help being like this even though I try my best not to screw up. I'm also slow sometimes in picking up social cues so I'm also socially awkward.

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 Well thanks anyway for trying to cheer me up :). I'm glad that you don't think of me that way.
A learning disability is just someone who struggles to process information quickly, low comprehension skills, struggles to retain information given such as instructions...etc. Did you ever struggle in school?Such as processing and retaining information or instructions given by teachers? @introvertedbutterfly

Have you ever considered they may be wrong?
Often also we reach out peak at different times, not everyone runs the same race .. And we all have different talents, you being you is probably good enough... Just like it is for everyone else ;)
Do not let people make you feel like a failure. Everyone learns differently. Just keep trying. No one is stupid and no one should tell you that you are.
Some people process things differently than others. It doesn’t make you stupid or slow.
You are not a failure.

As long as you're interested in learning what you're curious about, you'll be doing it right. There are 9 types of intelligence. Identify your strengths and apply those. If people I see display that condescending arrogance, it's a major turn-off for me, it doesn't make them any smarter to try to put others down.

You've made it this far

Prove them wrong.. My mates said similar things to me until I topped the finals..

These skills can be improved. Better focus on them if you feel the necessity
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
never felt like that in my entire life. perhaps you are a failure indeed. but I think stupidity brings more happiness than intelligence so I guess you are good to go.
introvertedbutterfly · 26-30, F
@unknownpoetx Trust me it's horrible. It's the kind that makes you feel like you are never going anywhere... you're only good as stupid and that's just that. You are ridiculous and some really mean people will treat you for granted because of that.

... I can't see how intelligence makes you less happy :/
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@introvertedbutterfly I understand what you mean. what I'm saying is that having knowledge about things in general doesn't give much happiness because you get worried. ignorance is bliss.
just because you are like that it doesn't mean you have to let those things happen. just protect yourself and live your life and just don't care so much about others.
People process things differently and learn differently. It doesn’t make you less Of a person. Is this happening at school or at work? Find ways to improve little by little. Find what you are good at and work with that. There are many people who struggle with dyslexia, learning disabilities etc. They dont mean a person is stupid. @introvertedbutterfly

Listen to me! You're a worthwhile human being capable of great love and great accomplishments; Don't listen to them! Don't let them pull you down! They're toxic people.
When Albert Einstein was a child and went to Kindergarten some of the teachers thought he was retarded.
Also, Michelangelo never went to Art school.

I haven't, but if it bothers you so, try and fix it.
