I feel like everyone gets all Robin Hood-y, crime seems to skyrocket.

Crime tends to go up and sky rocket in the late spring and summer. Decreases in the fall and winter.

Yes, yes I do like this time of year. Fall and winter are the best times of year for an outdoorsman.
